Great news today! 👏 As part of the “Writer in Residence” programme in conjunction with the Creative Ireland Programme 2017-2022 through Meath County Library we are one of two schools who have been chosen in Meath to work on this project! 😊
We are delighted that the hugely popular children’s author Shane Hegarty will begin writing workshops with our 5th and 6th class pupils on 26th September and will work with us between now and Christmas 👌🎄. Shane is the former Arts Editor of the Irish Times and is known for his popular children’s series “Darkmouth” . The first book in this series is due to be released as an animated Hollywood movie in January 2019. We are very excited to begin working on this programme and hope it will be a huge benefit to our pupils 😊👏🎉
