Rehearsals are underway in 4th,5th and 6th class for the Hallelujah Festival which takes place in City West hotel in the 7th December. We are enjoying learning our new songs and our dance moves. We are looking forward to a great day out! Maths week takes place from Mon14th - Fri 18th October 2013. All classes will participate in fun maths activities throughout the week at school. See www.mathsweek.ie for further details of activities taking place around the country. Remember to use your maths eyes in everyday life. Maths is all around us!!!
![]() Gaelic Training has begun for all classes. Séan Kane from Drumconrath Football Club is helping to train all pupils. We thank him for this. Training will take place every Thursday. Please ensure pupils wear appropriate footwear on this day. ![]() Pupils in Mrs Rowe's 5th and 6th class were busy this week as they planted a new tree in the school garden. Please see tree planting in the Green School's section of the website for more details and photos. ![]() Station Teaching in Maths has begun in Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st class. This is a fantastic way for the pupils to learn new mathematical concepts in small groups. Please take a look at the station teaching page under the HOME heading for further information and photos. We are collecting old clothes, shoes, bags, bedding etc. to raise funds for our school. If you have any old belongings that you would like to get rid of please fill black bags and leave them in the school hall anytime between now and the 26th November when they will be collected. Thank you for your support.
The school Anti-Bullying Policy has been reviewed and updated in line with the new Department Anti-Bullying Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools published by the Minister in September 2013. You may access a copy of this policy in the School Policies section of the website.
![]() We are delighted with the wonderful art work around our school yard especially our Junior and Senior Infant yard. We thank Verina Walsh for her hard work during the Summer on this project. We are delighted to announce the official launch of our school website. Please enjoy! School photographer will visit the school on Thursday 17th October. He will take a class photo and individual photos of Junior infants and 6th class in this day. All pupils from 2nd to 6th class took part in energy awareness workshops in our school. This was provided by Meath County Council. A great day was had by all and we are well on our way to getting our second green flag which focuses on energy.
