Congratulations and very well done to our winners of the Class Handwriting competitions. This week our 4th, 5th and 6th classes took part in an energy workshop run by Meath County Council. A wonderfully informative and practical, hands on approach was taken to this and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day.
As part of our continued Active School project, we all took part in operation transformation's 10 at 10 this morning. All primary school children in the country were asked to participate in ten minutes of activity at 10am today. We had great fun and some of our activities included skipping, hula hooping, uni hoc, games, running, football, dancing and the 10 at 10 workout. Well done everyone!!!
Congratulations and well done to our 6th class pupil Keith Byrne who played at half time during the Meath v kildare match on Sunday 5th February in Pairc Tailteann in Navan.
We had an absolutely wonderful day out on Saturday 4th February as our 4th and 5th class sang in the Peace Proms in the RDS, Dublin. There were over 2,000 children from all over the country singing in this concert accompanied by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland. We say well done to our pupils who worked so hard to prepare for this and who were a credit to the school. We hope it was an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.
We are delighted to welcome Springtime!! We had lots of fun today making St.Brigid's crosses in our classrooms. See some photos below. Mr. Hickey made a very special St. Brigid's cross based on a celtic design, very impressive!!!
