We are an Active School!!!
OUR ACTIVE SCHOOL MOTTO: Keep Active everyday for that is the Drumconrath way!
We are delighted to have been awarded our Active Flag in June 2013. We formed an Active School Committee made up of staff, parents and representatives from each class. Throughout the year we held an Active School Week and we took part in many activities. Our pupils have the opportunity to play football, gaelic and soccer, rugby, badminton, rounders, tennis and basketball. Throughout the year all pupils attended various workshops such as dance, athletics and skipping. We operate a Walk on Wednesday policy in the school where all pupils are encouraged to walk all or part of the way to school. We held a special celebration day in June 2016 to raise our Active Flag. The flag was raised by local footballer and past pupil Daire Rowe and Meath footballer Brian Meade. Please take a look at our photos below to see some of the activities available in the school.
