We held our annual sports day last Friday 30th May. Pupils took part in a wide range of activities including basketball, penalty shoot outs, sack races, spud and spoon races and lots more. A wonderful day was had by all :)
Standardised testing will take place for all pupils from 1st to 6th class on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th May . We congratulate Mr Hickey and Second class pupils who received the sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday 18th May. Thank you to everyone involved and a special word of thanks to all the parents who helped with the Do this in Memory programme throughout the year. The open day for Junior Infants starting in September 2014 will take place today Thursday 22nd May at 2pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
We had a wonderful day yesterday when a travelling theatre company came to the school and performed "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" for all classes. They were fantastic!
A drama workshop was also held for 5th and 6th class and our budding actors and actresses had a chance to perform themselves. Have a look at our photos below! All pupils enjoyed participating in a day of Olympic Handball workshops in the school. Each class took part and enhanced their skills. All classes will receive Gaelic training every week beginning this Thursday 8th May 2014. We thank Séan Kane and Drumconrath Footbll Club for organising this.
