End of Year Mass 2017

We celebrated our end of year mass and 6th class graduation yesterday, Tuesday 20th June and what a fantastic day it was! We thank everyone who helped us throughout the year in all of our different projects. We wish our 6th class the very best of luck and happiness in their future and we look forward to hearing from them. After mass the ice-cream van came to the school and 6th class had their party. It was a great ending to a busy and wonderful year!
The school will close for the Summer holidays this Friday 23rd June and re-open on Wednesday 30th August. We wish you all a happy and safe Summer!

Presentation to Under 13's Credit Union Quiz team

We were delighted on Monday 19th June when a representative from the Chapter 5 Credit Union Quiz finals called into school to present our Under 13's team with their Runner up trophies for the National Finals. The team came 4th overall in Ireland but were just 2 points behind the overall winners. At a meeting of Chapter 5 they decided they would like to honour our team in some way for this achievement.

Athletics

Congratulations and well done to all our pupils who travelled to Navan yesterday to take part in the Athletics.

Congratulations Mr. Hickey

We were all delighted to welcome Mr. Hickey back from Russia yesterday. He was the only Irish representative at the World Power lifting Championships in Moscow. Over the weekend he broke six World records !!! He is also European Champion and World Champion. We are so proud of him!!! Congratulations Mr. Hickey!!

Green Flag

Congratulations and well done to all pupils and staff on being awarded our third Green Flag. A special thank you to Mrs Woods and the Green School Committee for all their hard work over the last two years on this project. This flag was awarded for water conservation. Mrs Woods and members of the Green School committee collected our flag at an awards ceremony in City North Hotel on 25th May.

School Tours

School tours take place today Friday 9th June and Monday 12th June for all classes. Reports from Tanagh Adventure Centre and Lough Crew is they are they are having a fantastic day so far! See photos below.

Sport's Day

We had a wonderful day on Friday 2nd June as we held our annual Sport's Day. Well done to all our pupils who took part in the many varied stations around the school. See photos below.

Confirmation

Congratulations to our 6th class pupils who celebrated their Confirmation on Thursday 25th May 2017. Thank you to Fr. Connaughton, Mrs. Rowe and Alice Carolan for all the preparation throughout the year.

First Holy Communion

Congratulations and well done to our 2nd class pupils who made their First Holy Communion on Sunday 14th May. Special thanks to Fr. Connaughton and Mr. Hickey who prepared them so well for this day and to all of the parents who helped out throughout the year.
