On Tuesday 15th March 2016 we were very proud to celebrate Proclamation Day to mark the centenary of the the 1916 Easter rising. We were delighted that Mrs Joan Tully , retired teacher and member of Drumconrath Historical Society raised our school's Irish flag. We also welcomed Larry Ward from the historical society who spoke to us all about 1916.We celebrated with traditional Irish dancing and song! As part of the celebrations our pupils read out our proclamation for a new generation written by everyone in our school. This is available to view below along with some photos of what is sure to be a day we will all remember forever. Comments are closed.
