Paired Reading sessions for Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st Class take place every Tuesday morning and will run for 4 weeks during March. All parents/Grandparents are welcome. Our Book Fair is also in school at present.
9.15am - Ms Harte's Class 10.00am - Ms. Finlay's Class Gaelic Training is taking place every Thursday with Sean Hand from Meath GAA. All classes will participate in these lessons. Huge thanks to Drumconrath GFC for sponsoring this initiative.
Enrolment is now open for pupils wishing to start in Junior Infants in September 2019. Forms can be collected from the school office or downloaded from the website. Completed forms should be returned to the office by Friday 15th February at the latest. Thank you.
Our 5th and 6th class have drawn up a Walkability audit as part of our Travel Flag project. This is available here to download and a hard copy available in the school. Have a look at our findings and recommendations. We are encouraging all parents to park in the Community Centre in so far as possible and to walk across the road with their children to the school. This report will be sent to Meath County Council also. Special thanks to Caroline Murphy, the Green School Travel Officer in our area for all of her support with our Travel Flag.
Parent Teacher meetings will take place on Friday 23rd November. A note will be sent home from the class teacher with your child's time on it. Please make every effort to attend. If the time allocated doesn't suit please contact class teacher and a new appointment will be arranged for you.
Very well done to all pupils who donated a shoebox to the Team Hope Christmas Appeal. These shoeboxes will now make their way to children all over the world. Children helping children :)
We welcome Mrs. Rowe back every Tuesday as she helps to prepare 6th class for the upcoming Christmas Badminton Tournament. Good luck everybody!!

Our Parent Support Group are holding a coffee morning and Cake Sale in the Community Centre on Friday 12th October from 9am ☕️ This is in aid of the purchase of a defibrillator which will be situated at the school and can be accessed by the community. Anyone wishing to drop cakes/buns etc may do so from 8.30am on the day. We thank everyone for their fantastic help towards this worthy cause ! 🙌😊All welcome 😊
Great news today! 👏 As part of the “Writer in Residence” programme in conjunction with the Creative Ireland Programme 2017-2022 through Meath County Library we are one of two schools who have been chosen in Meath to work on this project! 😊
We are delighted that the hugely popular children’s author Shane Hegarty will begin writing workshops with our 5th and 6th class pupils on 26th September and will work with us between now and Christmas 👌🎄. Shane is the former Arts Editor of the Irish Times and is known for his popular children’s series “Darkmouth” . The first book in this series is due to be released as an animated Hollywood movie in January 2019. We are very excited to begin working on this programme and hope it will be a huge benefit to our pupils 😊👏🎉 The school photographer will visit all classes on Tuesday 2nd October 2018. Please ensure class teacher knows if you would like a family photo.
