We wish you all a very happy, safe and peaceful Christmas. We look forward to seeing you back in the New Year. School will re-open on Wednesday 6th January 2016.
What a wonderful day we had in Drumconrath National School today!! We were blessed with dry, mild weather for our Santa Run for fun. All our pupils and teachers took part in our day out at Lough Bracken and we really enjoyed ourselves! We got a surprise on the way home when we stopped off at the Community Centre only to find a very special guest waiting for us!! Santa Claus himself came to see all our pupils!!! We must have been very good boys and girls during the year!! Have a look at some of our photos below :)
Weather permitting all pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class will take part in a fun Santa Run/Walk in Lough Bracken on Wednesday 16th December.Pupils will go on the bus with their teachers. Walk will take approximately half an hour. This is part of our aim to renew our Active Flag in 2016 and our School Improvement plan for PE.We will confirm the details of this nearer the day when we are more sure of the weather.
All pupils from Senior Infants to 4th Class will visit the Iontas Theatre in Castleblayney on Monday 14th December where they will watch the wonderful pantomime "Cinderella". This will be a well deserved treat for our wonderful pupils who have worked so hard this term. Looking forward to a great day out!!!
