Paired Reading will begin for Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First class on Tuesday 7th February and run for four week. Notes have been sent home with pupils regarding this. We look forward to seeing you there.
Our 4th and 5th class will travel to the RDS, Dublin this Saturday 4th February to sing in the Peace Proms concert along with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland. The pupils have been preparing hard and are now looking forward to a great day out and a wonderful show! Tickets can be purchased at www.peaceproms.com. Please note we are seated in the Green Area of the stage so for any parents who are attending please sit in the Green area of the audience. Bus will leave school at 10am sharp and return between 5.30-6pm. Pupils should wear school tracksuit bottoms and a white t-shirt. Pupils should bring a healthy packed lunch and plenty of drinks in a plastic bag.
HSE nurse will visit the school this Friday 3rd February to carry out vision and hearing tests on Junior Infants.
As part of our celebrations of Catholic Schools Week we will hold a Grandparent's mass in the church this FRIDAY 3rd FEBRUARY at 10am. All welcome .
The local heat of the Credit Union National Inter-Primary Schools Quiz will take place tonight, Monday 30th january in the Bohemian Centre, Ardee at 8pm. We wish our two competing teams the very best of luck and we know we will be very proud of them. Thank you to Mrs. Rowe and Mrs. Woods for helping them to prepare for this.
Team A (Under 11's) - Shauna Carolan, Sophie Clarke, Elza O Connell, Oisín Reilly Team B (Over 11's) - Peter Griffin, Adam McGahan, Aaron Tighe, Oran McMahon Swimming lessons will begin for all pupils from 2nd-6th class this Friday 27th January 2017 and run for 8 weeks finishing on Friday 31st March.
After school soccer with Professional footballer, Ross Gaynor begins again this week and will run in the school for 10 weeks, finishing the week before the Easter holidays. Soccer for Junior Infants and Senior Infants will take place every Tuesday from 1.50-2.50pm. 1st - 3rd Class will train on Tuesdays from 2.50-3.50pm and 4th to 6th class will train on Thursdays from 2.50-3.50pm. We hope you all enjoy it!
Enrolment for new Junior Infants wishing to start school in September 2017 is now open. Please collect a form from the office or download from school website. All forms should be returned to school by Friday 31st March 2017.
