Below you can see out Halloween and Autumn Áistear work.
Art - We sang the song Dingle Dangle Scarecrow and learned why farmers have scarecrows in their fields. We then used fabric and fiber to decorate out own scarecrows to hang in our Autumn display.
Literacy - We read and discussed Room on the Broom. We looked at the rhyming words in the story too. After that we discussed what potions are and we filled in an "order from" for the imaginary potion we want. This was great fun.
Role Play - We pretended we were Halloween characters in the role play area. Miss Kirk has got us a witches hat, cloak, masks etc to use next week, we cannot wait to enter this scary land!!!
Cutting skills - We used our cutting skills to cut and paste Halloween images and made a collage of our own.
We are going to put all of our Áistear work in a special folder and sent it home at Christmas for our parents to see.
