This month our Áistear activities are revolving around the theme of weather and water. We started by reading Tom Crean's Rabbit. This book focuses on a sailors adventure to discover Antarctica and a pet rabbit which kept him company.
Role Play: in the role play area we are pretending to be on a voyage and re-enacting the story above. We are having to use vocabulary we learned through reading the story such as captain, voyage, galley and cabin. We took in our toy rabbits from home to help us. We also got a new play kitchen which is a great addition for the ships galley.
Literacy: Last week at this station we are exploring the story of Tom Crean's Rabbit in more detail. We discussed the chronology of the story, our favourite parts of the book and we recorded these pictorally. Th
